Hemlock is a pine tree, 50 meters high and 1.6 meters in diameter at breast height; the bark is dark dark gray, longitudinally fissured, and falls off in blocks; the large branches are flat, the branches are slightly drooping, and the crown is tower-shaped. The leaves are strip-shaped, arranged in two rows, 1.2-2.7 cm long, 2-3 mm wide, apex obtuse and concave, light green above, light green below, midrib raised without grooves.

Cone oval or oblong, 1.5-2.5 cm long, 1.2-1.6 cm in diameter, with short stems; middle seed scales pentagonal-ovate, nearly square or nearly round, sparsely short oblong; bracts Scales inverted triangular-shaped wedge-shaped or rhombus-shaped, with narrow upper part of species wings. Flowering in April, cones mature in October.

The wood is rot-resistant, straight in grain, fine and uniform in structure, solid in material and resistant to water and humidity. It can be used for construction, aircraft, boats, vehicles, furniture, appliances and wood fiber industrial raw materials.

Our sauna wood is made of Canadian hemlock, which is hard and fine in texture, uniform in texture, and has a natural log fragrance. The fir alcohol contained in it can kill bacteria in the air, inhibit human pathogens, and inhibit various skin inflammations. It can eliminate human fatigue and relieve stress.
